Using Gradle 3.0 to create your debug APK from command line

With the new Gradle 3.0 coming out, I recently found out there is no apk file generated when running gradlew from command line.

After investigating a little bit, one of the possible solution is in the build.gradle file under the app directory.

Then in the root directory, run:

./gradlew assembleDebug

The generated apk will be found at [project name]/app/build/outputs/apk/debug/app-debug.apk.
